Woman faces weapons, drug charges

Henderson County sheriff's deputies with a special enforcement squad teamed with agents with the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency to arrest a 21-year-old Hendersonville woman on drug and weapons possession charges on Wednesday. The investigators charged Whitney Jean Hollifield of 2325 Old Kanuga Road with a felony probation violation when they arrested her at 635 McMinn Road. Hollifield was found to be in possession of three handguns and an methamphetamine, the sheriff's office said. Hollifield was charged with three felony counts of possession of a firearm by a felon and one felony count of possession of methamphetamine. She is currently incarcerated in the Henderson County Jail under a $35,000 secured bond.   Read Story »
