NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mills River Town Council will hold a Legislative Public Hearing on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Mills River Town Hall, 124 Town Center Drive, Mills River, North Carolina 28759.

The purpose of said Public Hearing is to receive public comment on the consideration and proposed adoption of a new Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) and new Official Zoning Map and Overlay District Map for the Town of Mills River. The proposed Unified Development Ordinance consolidates and replaces existing development regulations, zoning district provisions, and land use standards into a single, comprehensive regulatory document governing land use and development within the corporate limits of the Town of Mills River.

The proposed Unified Development Ordinance and associated zoning maps address, among other matters: zoning districts and permitted uses; dimensional standards and development regulations; subdivision regulations; sign regulations; floodplain management provisions; stormwater and environmental standards; nonconforming uses and structures; and administrative procedures and enforcement.

Copies of the proposed Unified Development Ordinance and associated zoning maps are available for public inspection at www.imaginemillsriver.com/documents and at Mills River Town Hall.
All interested persons are invited and encouraged to attend said Public Hearing and will be afforded an opportunity to be heard. Under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Tax Collector by § 105-369 of the North Carolina General Statutes, and pursuant to an Order by the Mills River Town Council, the Tax Collector is hereby advertising liens for the year 2025 on the real estate described below.
